Chang DeXiang is missing part of her palate. She came to the Center malnourished weighing just 3.5 pounds. She had made good progress but could not overcome the myocarditis which came on very suddenly.

She will be missed by everyone.

De Xiang is a baby girl who cries. A lot. She is missing part of her palate, and had a bad case of thrush when she arrived. The nannies treated the thrush, but she continued to be fussy when being held and fed. Despite this, she is a strong baby, who does not run a high fever when she is ill, and responds well to medications when she needs them. When she arrived on August 21, her height was 46cm; weight 1.6kg; chest 26cm; head 31.5cm.
